Since establishing the Sheelin Wilson Gilding Studio in 1988, Sheelin has been committed to the age-old craft of using gold and silver leaf in the restoration, conservation and reproduction of objects d'art, antique and fine furniture, frames and interiors.
Sheelin Wilson will always treat the objects she works on with the utmost respect while making every effort to preserve original finishes and materials.
Sheelin's more than 25 years experience in the field of gilded and painted finishes includes studying in London at `The New Academy For Arts Studies', an apprenticeship in Ireland with Emily Naper at Loughcrew Studio, as well as working with such master gilders as Thomas Hom at Sotheby's Restoration.
Sheelin Wilson works with a team of artisans, but at all times she will be the master gilder overseeing and executing all crucial steps towards the desired result.
