Tabernacle

Replica of a fifteenth century Italian Tabernacle style frame. Gold leaf, egg tempera, and sgraffitto on bass wood. This piece was a prototype for a very large altarpiece-like tryptich commission.

TC Steele

Replica of a twentieth century American Plein air style frame. Hand carved and watergilded in 22 karat gold over blue-grey bole. After researching the collection of Indiana Impressionist TC Steele paintings at the Indiana State Museum we decided on this style to accompany a Steele painting in the permanant collection at the Ball State University Museum of Art.

Badura

Replica of a twentieth century "Bucks County" style American Impressionist frame. Hand carved, incised, and toned over watergilded 12 karat gold. This piece was made after researching the techniques of Bernard Badura who was a student of Fredrick Harer, an influential frame maker from Bucks County Pennsylvania.
