Membership Information

Whether you are a beginning or professional gilder, an artist or designer, a manufacturer or supplier, or someone with a special interest in gold leaf, you are invited to join the Society of Gilders in one of these categories. Membership is open to any individual, institution or corporation on a yearly basis.

Individual Membership: $100.00

• A subscription to The Gilder's Tip, the bi-annual journal of the Society of Gilders, a full-color publication covering all aspects of the gilding arts
• A subscription to The SOG Newsletter, a quarterly events calendar of the Society of Gilders
• Discount coupons on purchases of gilding materials from participating corporate members
• Special member discounts on classes, workshops and lectures offered in the Regional Education Program
• A 50-character biographical description in the annual Society of Gilders Membership Directory
• Inclusion by personal name in the Society of Gilders online membership list
• The opportunity to exhibit your work on the Gilding Gallery web page
• Access to the members-only, online discussion forum
• Volunteer opportunities at Society of Gilders related events
• Eligibility for election to the Society of Gilders Board of Trustees
• One vote in Society of Gilders elections

Business -Sole/Dual Practitioner: $175.00

For the business that consists of one or two people.

The benefits are the same as for individuals, plus:
•    One additional subscription to The Gilder's Tip (total 2)
•    One additional subscription to The SOG Newsletter (total 2)
•    Business advertising rate in The Gilder's Tip
•    A 200-character biographical description, and listings by contact and business names in the annual Society of Gilders Membership Directory
•    Business and contact names, description and link in the Society of Gilders online Membership List
•    One additional vote in Society of Gilders elections

Business -Enterprise: $250.00

For all larger companies.

The benefits are the same as for individuals, plus:
•    One additional subscription to The Gilder's Tip (total 2)
•    One additional subscription to The SOG Newsletter (total 2)
•    Business advertising rate in The Gilder's Tip
•    A 200-character biographical description, and listings by contact and business names in the annual Society of Gilders Membership Directory
•    Business and contact names, description and link in the Society of Gilders online Membership List
•    One additional vote in Society of Gilders election

Corporate Membership Silver Level: $800.00

All the benefits of an Individual Membership plus:

• Certificate recognizing Corporate Membership
• Ten subscriptions to The Gilder's Tip
• Ten subscriptions to The SOG Newsletter
• Corporate listing in The Gilder's Tip and on website
• Corporate advertising rate in The Gilder's Tip
• Feature article in The Gilder's Tip and on website
• Two additional votes in Society of Gilders elections

Corporate Membership Gold Level: $2000.00

All the benefits of a Silver Corporate Membership plus:

• Participation in member coupon program
• Corporate exposure at all conventions and trade shows
• Banner or prominence on website

Student: $50.00

Student members receive all the benefits of “individual” members.  Proof of enrollment (student ID or registrar’s letter, etc) must be submitted with the membership application.  On-line registrants should send the proof by separate file or letter.

The Society of Gilders is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization. Consult a qualified accountant for deduction information.
